High Grange Day Nursery actively promotes equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children. We understand that some children may have a variety of needs. Both the nursery owners have specific qualifications and experience in education (including special educational needs) and will always ensure that appropriate support is in place should your child require it. Parents are, of course children’s first and most enduring educators (EYFS, DCSF, 2008) and as such we aim to work in partnership with parents/carers to ensure that the needs of all our children are met. When parents/carers work alongside childcare practitioners, the results have a dramatic and positive effect on the child’s development and learning. We will endeavour to provide regular information about our activities and in turn encourage parents and carers to share any views or concerns with us. Any feedback will certainly be welcomed, respected and acknowledged.
My name is Claire Crumpton and I have been a qualified teacher for 14 years; 10 of which have been in a management role. I have a Masters Degree in Special Educational Needs and Early Years Professional Status which I believe this to be of paramount importance in ensuring good quality teaching for all children, regardless of age or ability. I regularly attend conferences at a local and National level to ensure I always have the latest ideas and research in Early Years provision. It is the fact that I have recently become a mum which is, perhaps the driving force behind High Grange Day Nursery. This life-changing experience has made me even more passionate in my quest to seek and provide affordable childcare of the highest quality, not only for my child but for the child of every other like-minded besotted parent. My name is Adrian Crumpton and I have been a qualified teacher for 14 years, 5 of which I have worked with the Early Years. I am also an excellent chef and cover the cook when she is on holiday. We provide healthy well-balanced meals and pride ourselves with fresh fruit and vegetables daily.
Linda Wignall has worked as an Early Years Practitioner for 22 years, prior to this I was nursing in the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps. My qualifications include a BA (HONS) Top Up Degree in Early Years and also the Early Years Professional Status. I am also a mum to 2 wonderful grown up boys and appreciate the love and care your little ones need whilst you go to work. I am a strong believer in parental partnerships and I believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential. |
